Eden Ciders - July 31st

Ian Mansfield - Cider Maker

To make our extraordinary Eden Ciders we press heirloom and tannic apples just as they’re harvested, in order to best capture the aromas and flavors present at peak ripeness. We ferment slow and cold to allow the ciders to develop with all the complexity of a fine wine. We never add sugar, although some have a small amount of residual sweetness naturally from the apples.

Cedar Hannan - Owner & Cider Maker

We use heirloom apple varieties blended with wild-foraged apples from Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.  Expect a sparkling, fully dry cider with bright acidity, a dry, tannic finish and fresh from the tree aromatics.

We never filter, or add stabilizers, fining agents or sulfites. Our cider is bottle conditioned and will continue to evolve gracefully for months or years to come.

Echodale Cider - Aug 14th

Katherine von Stackelberg - Owner & Orchard Master

Echodale Farm LLC is a permaculture orchard managed using biodynamic principles up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We have some 80 varieties of apples, planted 6-10 years ago, ranging from English cider varietals to American classics, interspersed with many different fruit and nut trees, berries of all kinds, and herbs and wildflowers. All the apples in our cider were grown in our orchard in South Albany, VT, using only inputs from a neighboring dairy (e.g., compost and whey) and preparations made onsite (e.g., nettle macerate, garlic sprays, etc.). The cider is fruit forward but dry, never faulted, with a slight fizz.

Bleecker Wheeler - Cider Maker

Using only local and organic resources, implementing traditional and natural fermentation techniques, and taking part in the entire process from start (grafting and planting the trees) to finish (drinking the cider), we aim to deliver a superior and authentic craft cider that reflects the terroir and history of our region in the southern Green Mountains.

Diane Flynt - book event & tasting - Aug 28th

For anyone who's ever picked an apple fresh from the tree or enjoyed a glass of cider, writer and orchardist Diane Flynt offers a new history of the apple and how it changed the South and the nation.

A multiple-time James Beard Award finalist for Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional, Diane Flynt founded Foggy Ridge Cider in 1997 after leaving her corporate career and produced cider until 2018. She now sells cider apples from the Foggy Ridge orchards in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains.

*Must purchase tickets for this event. Your ticket price includes a signed copy of Diane’s book, an exclusive talk, author meet & greet, plus a special tasting flight of rare Eden Cellar Series ciders.
